Self healing is a continual process of taking charge of your health, wellness and personal potential. In order to do this we must seek out the solutions for the challenges that we come up against in our lives instead of thinking that we are victims of 'fate'. Now is the time to make the decision to create the life we desire and to live it to the best of our ability never mind negotiating the route through the ins and outs of our existence. Self healing is about using the powers of your own mind positively and constuctively. In order to heal and develop your life it is paramount that you get rid of old thoughts, beliefs and attitudes that no longer help you in health an harmony and change them for new ones. Self healing is also about listening to the intelligence and wisdom of your own body and being aware of all of your physical needs. Think about your body in loving and healthy ways and take necessary action such as exercise, rest and food as and when it is needed. Harnessing the creative, positive and very powerful energy of your emotions is also an important part of self healing. Listen to your heart, acknowledge your feelings and be open enough to express how you feel safely and effectively. You will need to be able to expand your view of the world and accept the many incredible mysteries of the universe no matter what your background, culture or belief system is. Self Healing is about making sense of your life, giving it meaning and finding your own special place within the greater scheme of things which in turn will enable you to develop your own spiritual awareness and philosophy on life. How you do this is entirely up to you. You will make choices in life which can make a difference to your self healing. You have the power of your mind, and the ability to make new choices, which will allow mental, emotional, physical and spiritual changes occur in your life. Only you can then decide to act upon the choices you make, knowing that each step forward that you take, no matter how small, can, in reality, be a huge step towards your own self-healing and personal development. It is time to be aware of yourself, your body, your very being. Listen to your inner voice and take note. Listen to your feelings and take notes about them, try to understand why you feel as you do. Do you need to change anything about these feelings? Listen to your thoughts, are they really your thoughts or those that have been given to you over the years. Write them down and then decide whether you want to own thoughts such as these, if not change them. More than anything else on this journey of self-discovery you need to be honest with yourself. Acknowledge your true feelings, recognise where you are resistant to change or that your behaviour is unhealthy. Do this without judging or criticising yourself. Use your creative powers to express yourself. Take self-development courses or read books that will help you be who you want to be. Forgive yourself for all that is now in the past, acknowledge and let go of any feelings of guilt and stop punishing yourself for things that you did or did not do in the past. When you catch yourself with negative thoughts change them make them positive, think of something beautiful, loving or funny, and appreciate that positive makes positive and that is what you need. This is the beginning of your journey of self-healing. It is a long road and will take time, but it will most definitely be a wonderful enlightening experience. At the end of the day it is all about taking a good look at ourselves, and how we are, our reactions to others etc., and changing the things that we want to change so that we can enjoy life as it should be enjoyed and experience health, wealth and happiness always. |
